Imphal: Manipur governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Sunday emphasised on strengthening sporting infrastructure across Manipur. Speaking during the closing ceremony of the 1st Bishnupur District Olympic Games, a five-day event held under the “One District, One Spirit – Khelo Bishnupur” theme, the governor said the event was an important platform for identifying and nurturing sporting talent, reports Donald Sairem.Highlighting Manipur’s rich sporting legacy, the Governor said the state has consistently produced athletes who have brought laurels to the country despite its small geographical size.
