Bengaluru: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will set up a quantum computing innovation hub on its Bengaluru campus. Officials said the hub will initially operate with a 25-qubit superconducting quantum computing system housed in a dilution refrigerator. The facility will be designed as an open architecture and technology-agnostic platform, allowing researchers, academic institutions and industry partners to access the infrastructure regardless of the vendor or technology.A key focus area of the hub will be health-science applications of quantum computing, reflecting the broader strengths of the Manipal group in healthcare and medical research, said VC MD Venkatesh. The facility will be functional from Sept.
