Mandya: Mandya district police and railway police Friday dismissed viral social media claims that a large group of Bangladeshi citizens had illegally migrated to the city.The clarification followed speculation on various platforms after more than 50 individuals arrived at Mandya railway station carrying substantial luggage and personal belongings.Law enforcement authorities conducted on-the-spot verification of their identification cards and travel documents.Officials confirmed that all members of the group are Indian citizens from West Bengal who travelled legally to Mandya district for employment at a local private factory.Authorities also said four minors travelling with the group were transferred to the custody of the District Child Protection Unit as per legal protocol.
