Ghaziabad: An FIR has been registered against a 30-year-old man for allegedly molesting a colleague in a car on the pretext of dropping her home after a party at the manager’s house in Indirapuram. The complainant (26) works at a call centre in Noida with the accused, who is also her manager.According to the complainant, she attended a party at the accused’s residence along with other collegaues on the night of March 14. The group left the event around 8.30am the next morning, when the accused began insisting she get in his car with him so he could drop her home. The complainant tried to refuse but he forced her into the car and began touching her inappropriately, she alleged.As the car travelled towards Noida Electronic City, the accused allegedly continued to molest the complainant. She eventually managed to get him to stop the vehicle and tried to escape.“While I was leaving he told me that what I was doing was wrong. He said that my boyfriend and I would have to suffer a lot, and that he would ruin my office life. After the incident, I told my team leader what happened and he took the manager’s side. The team leader told me it did not happen and that it was my imagination. After that his behaviour towards me in the office also remained bad,” she said.ACP (Indirapuram) Abhishek Srivastava said that an FIR has been registered under sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the BNS.
