Prayagraj: A 45-year-old woman was allegedly strangled by her husband after an altercation at Goghpur village under the limits of the Mahevaghat police station of Kaushambi.Upon being alerted, senior police officials, including the Kaushambi SP, rushed to the spot and carried out investigations.Initial investigations revealed that the couple fought on Monday evening, when Shiv Bhola allegedly killed his wife Maya Devi and escaped. Three police teams have been constituted to arrest the accused.The body has been sent for a postmortem.
