Ahmedabad: A 32-year-old woman was injured after her husband allegedly stabbed her during a dispute over Rs 200. The complaint was recorded at Sola Civil Hospital, where the woman is undergoing treatment.According to the FIR, the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at their home near an industrial area in Thaltej, where the couple live with their children. The woman stated that her husband asked her for Rs 200 and allegedly began using abusive language and assaulting her on being told she did not have the money. He then pulled out a knife and stabbed her on the left of her abdomen. The profusely bleeding woman and the children raised an alarm. As neighbours gathered, the accused fled the scene. A family member then took the injured woman to hospital in an ambulance.Doctors said her condition was stable. Based on her statement, police have registered a case against the husband. Police have also recorded statements from the neighbours to reconstruct the sequence of events, leading to the crime.tnn
