Mapusa: A 25-year-old kitchen helper was allegedly stabbed in the stomach by his colleague following a heated argument over eating dinner late at night at a shack in Mandrem. Mandrem police have filed a case against the accused, Rishu Singh.Police said the incident occurred in the early hours of March 21 at Hardrock Shack, Junuswada. The complainant, Ravi Singh, stated that the accused abused him and two other colleagues, Sahil and Nikhil Kumar, while having their dinner. The verbal spat turned violent when Rishu allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Nikhil Kumar with the intent to kill him.The victim was rushed for medical treatment, while the police registered the case under Sections 352 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace) and 109 (attempt to murder) of the BNS.
