NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death while driving his car in east Delhi’s Krishna Nagar area.The police ruled out robbery as the motive during the initial stages of the investigation, an officer said on Friday.The victim has been identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of west Vinod Nagar.According to police, he was declared brought dead after being taken to Dr Hedgewar Hospital on Thursday night.Police said a PCR call was received around 9pm reporting that a man had been stabbed on the main road in Krishna Nagar.A police team rushed to the spot and found the victim’s car abandoned on the roadside. By then, local residents had shifted the injured man to the hospital.A senior police officer said a case of murder has been registered and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.Forensic and crime teams inspected the spot, while police are scanning CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to identify the assailant.“No robbery angle has surfaced during the initial stage of investigation,” a police officer said.(With inputs from PTI)
