Hazaribag: A 27-year-old man sustained injuries after he was shot at and attacked with a sharp-edged weapon in Qureshi Mohalla under Sadar police station limits in Chatra district late on Sunday over a dispute over alleged cattle theft in the area.Shahzad Qureshi was heading to a local market with his child when two men allegedly assaulted him. Shahzad sustained a bullet injury to his thigh and was referred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi by doctors at Chatra Sadar Hospital.Police suspected Shahzad was attacked due to a recent fallout between two groups of the community.Shabbir alias Koka, who allegedly shot Shahzad, is at large. “Raids are underway to arrest the accused,” Anil Oraon, the officer-in charge of Sadar police station, said. Besides Shabbir, Sameer, Akbar and a few others are accused in the incident.
