Varanasi: Resident of a village under Sukhpura police station in Ballia district, Ritesh Tiwari (45), was attacked with knife by two motorcycles-borne miscreants on Wednesday.With the knife lodged in his back, Tiwari reached the nearest police outpost and alleged inaction of Sukhpura police. He said he had complained about receiving life threats in a property dispute and this attack was part of it.Ballia ASP (Southern) Sanjay Verma said after rushing Ritesh to the hospital, police held two accused persons for interrogating. Verma confirmed the land dispute was reported.Tiwari was stabbed while returning to his village near Hanumanganj. The assailants fled the scene. He was admitted to the Ballia District Hospital and after primary treatment, doctors referred him to the Trauma Centre in Varanasi.
