Surat: A 23-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend following a trivial argument after he left a dinner outing midway to pick up his elder brother in Pandesara late on Thursday night.The accused, Sunny Jadav (23), was arrested by Pandesara police and booked for murder.The victim, Amol Salve (23), and Jadav were close friends. Earlier in the evening, Amol was sitting near Pramukh Complex when his elder brother, Sudarshan (30), arrived on a two-wheeler and asked him to drop him at his employer’s house for some work. Amol dropped him there and assured him that he would return to pick him up once he called.Amol then accompanied Jadav to Salabatpura for dinner. At around 11.45 pm, Sudarshan called and asked Amol to come and take him home. Amol left the dinner midway to pick up his brother, a move that allegedly upset Jadav.While Amol was on his way, his two-wheeler collided with another vehicle near the Bhedwad bridge. As word of the accident spread, some of his friends reached the spot to assist him.Around 12.45 am, Jadav also reached the spot and allegedly confronted Amol over leaving him alone during dinner. The argument soon escalated, with Jadav allegedly abusing Amol. When Amol objected to the expletives, Jadav pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed him.Amol was rushed to the New Civil Hospital in a 108 ambulance, where doctors declared him brought dead.Based on a complaint lodged by Sudarshan Salve, Pandesara police registered a case of murder against Jadav and arrested him.
