Nagpur: A 48-year-old man was killed in a late-night hit-and-run accident on Nagpur-Bhandara highway. Deceased, identified as Virendra Kushwaha (48), a resident of Gulmohar Nagar in Kalamna, was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle near Kapsi. The incident came to light around 2am on Monday while Pardi police were patrolling Nagpur-Bhandara highway. During the patrol, two citizens informed that a man was lying seriously injured along the highway.Cops rushed to the spot and found him lying unconscious with severe injuries. He was shifted to Mayo hospital where doctors declared him dead. Following a complaint, Pardi cops lodged a case against the driver. TNN
