Ambala: Gunmen in a car and a motorcycle fired at a man as he headed to his fields to cut fodder near Kalalti village in Ambala district on Tuesday morning.The attack was linked to an old rivalry between two groups, police said, adding Balwinder alias Binder sustained a bullet injury on his right leg.The assailants abandoned their car after it got stuck in a field along the roadside during their escape. Police recovered sticks and a sharp-edged weapon from the vehicle. The suspects later left their motorcycle too and fled on foot.Police registered an FIR against Shekhar of Kalalti and 10 unidentified persons following a complaint by Balwinder.Mullana SHO sub-inspector Parmod Kumar said the police received information about the firing at 8:30 am. He said Shekhar‘s group had themselves been victims in a case registered following an incident in Feb. Another firing linked to the same rivalry had taken place around five days ago, in which a case was registered.
