Pune: Mahalunge MIDC police on Monday, arrested a 32-year-old man from Ambethan village in Khed taluka on the charge of attempting to extort Rs2 lakh from a transporter. The suspect on Monday threatened the victim with dire consequences and demanded extortion of Rs 2 lakh from him to continue his transport business in the MIDC. A police team led by senior police inspector Digambar Suryavanshi made the arrest. TNN
