Mangaluru: Mulki police arrested a man for allegedly stealing a temple donation box at Chandramouleshwara Temple under the jurisdiction of Mulki police station and recovered Rs 2,195 allegedly stolen from the temple. The accused is Ravikumar alias Ravi HG, a resident of Ajjimada in Madikeri taluk of Kodagu district. According to police, the incident occurred around midnight on Aug 18. The accused allegedly entered the temple through a grill on the roof, turned the CCTV camera away, broke open the lock of the donation box and stole the cash. Police said the recovered cash was seized, and the accused was produced before a court. Police said the accused had previously been booked in five cases registered at Nelamangala Rural police station.
