The arrest of Vinod Narayan Lal, who is in his 30s, followed a complaint filed by Natesh. Cops also detained Mysuru activist Snehamayi Krishna as he posted the audio on social media, and it went viral. Saturday, Krishna, who was released by CCB police, posted an apology on his social media account, stating he wrongly posted the audio clip without verifying its authenticity.“Vinod was in enmity with Natesh and, therefore, created the fake audio clip. Knowing Krishna was in the habit of countering govt officials, he handed the fake clip to him. Krishna erred by hurriedly posting it. We booked Krishna too in the case,” an investigating officer said.
