Vadodara: A 29-year-old man was found dead in a hotel room in the old city early on Wednesday morning after he allegedly slipped and fell in the bathroom during a power cut, police said.The deceased, Ghulam Mustafa, had checked into the hotel on Tuesday night with his friend Kishan Vasava.According to police, the hotel experienced a power outage early Wednesday. Vasava told police that Mustafa slipped and fell in the bathroom in the darkness and sustained a head injury. The two then shifted to another room.Later in the morning, Vasava called an ambulance and informed the hotel staff that Mustafa had died.Police have registered an accidental death case and sent the body for post-mortem examination. “Further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report,” a police officer said.
