Vadodara: A Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD) constable arrested in a cheating case escaped from the Dahod police station late on Monday night.The police have registered an FIR against Jitendra Solanki and begun search for him.According to the police, Solanki was arrested for allegedly selling off a car taken on rent. In the lock-up on Monday night, he complained of chest pain. The on-duty cops offered to take him to a hospital but he insisted that he be taken out of the lock-up for a while.The guards brought him out and let him sleep in Nagrik Suvidha Kendra in the police station. After some time, the guards too fell asleep and by the time they woke up, Solanki had escaped.CCTV footage revealed that Solanki headed to the Dahod bus depot.
