Lucknow: A property dealer allegedly fired at his brother-in-law during a dispute over money near a liquor shop on Mohan Road in Para area of Lucknow on Wednesday night.The victim, identified as Imran, sustained a gunshot injury in his right leg and was admitted to Rani Lakshmibai Hospital. An argument over a financial dispute escalated at around 12.30 am when the two men were drinking. According to police, the accused, identified as Nisar, a property dealer from Banthra, allegedly fired at Imran with his licensed pistol. The bullet struck Imran’s right leg.Police said Imran, who was living on rent in Salempur Patora, had reportedly taken ₹2 lakh from Nisar, and the dispute was related to the money. Nisar attempted to flee from the spot, but local residents caught him and informed the police. Police reached the spot and took Nisar into custody. During the incident, Nisar allegedly handed over the pistol to his associate Narpat, who fled from the spot with the weapon.Inspector Suresh Singh said the firearm used in the incident was Nisar’s licensed pistol.
