Ghaziabad: A 35-year-old man died after falling from the 23rd floor of ATS Advantage Society in Indirapuram on Saturday morning, with his body found stuck in the balcony of a first-floor flat.Indirapuram ACP Suryabali Maurya said the victim, Tarun, a resident of nearby Gyan Khand 3, had been undergoing treatment for mental health problems in Delhi for around three years. CCTV footage from Tower 10 of the society showed him taking the elevator to the 23rd floor around 8 am.Police suspect Tarun may have jumped, but the fall was broken when he got stuck on the balcony awning of a first-floor flat.According to police, Tarun left home, where he lived with his elder brother and parents, around 7 am and was seen walking outside the society for some time. He initially tried entering through the main gate but could not do so as security guards were stationed there. Around 7.45 am, he allegedly managed to enter the premises amid the movement of schoolchildren, then went directly to Tower 10 and took the lift to the top floor.After being alerted, a police team reached the spot and retrieved Tarun’s body from the balcony. The body was sent for autopsy.ACP Maurya said police were examining CCTV footage from the society to establish how Tarun entered the premises and reached the top floor. Police said there was no immediate indication of any other person’s involvement.
