Times News NetworkKanpur: A 22-year-old man died and his friend was critically injured after their speeding sports bike crashed into a road divider near Saraimita in Panki on Sunday evening, police said.Aditya Rathore, a resident of Machhariya village in Naubasta police station area, and his friend Ashish, a Naubasta resident, were returning home around 7pm when their bike went out of control. Both men were dragged along the road for a considerable distance after the collision, according to Aditya’s family.Passersby alerted police, who took the injured men by ambulance to a nearby private hospital. Doctors declared Aditya dead, while Ashish was referred to Lala Lajpat Rai hospital in critical condition. Police sent Aditya’s body for post-mortem.Aditya, the younger son of fast-food cart operator Saral Rathore and Sunita Rathore, worked on installing solar panels. His elder brother said Aditya had left for Panki with Ashish around 11am for work.Police were investigating the cause of the accident and would take action based on the investigation if the family submitted a complaint or made any allegation.
