Bokaro: A 55-year-old man died after a jackfruit fell on his head while he was plucking them from a tree at Mohandih village in Giridih district on Sunday.The deceased was identified as Hari Verma, who lived with his family at his new house in Taratand. According to family members, Verma visited his ancestral village for some work. Before returning to Taratand, he went to pluck jackfruit from a tree on the premises of his old house. During the attempt, a large fruit fell on his head, leaving him critically injured.Family members rushed Verma to the community health centre in Gandey. After initial treatment, doctors referred him to Sadar Hospital in Giridih because of his critical condition. Verma was later declared dead during treatment.
