Hassan: In a tragic incident, a 37-year-old man was crushed to death after his three-year-old son accidentally switched on a tractor at Kote Vokkaligara street in Holenarasipur town. The deceased was identified as Yashwanth, a KSRTC employee working at Arakalagudu depot.According to police, Yashwanth was getting a new house constructed and had brought centring materials in a tractor for RCC work on the day of Varamahalakshmi festival. While his son was playing, Yashwanth had put him on the tractor.While playing, the child turned on the tractor key, following which the vehicle suddenly lurched forward.In a bid to prevent his son from falling down, Yashwanth rushed to rescue him, but came under the wheels of the tractor. He suffered grievous injuries and was shifted to Hassan district hospital. However, he succumbed despite treatment, police said.Holenarasipur town police visited the spot and have registered a case.
