Kanpur: Celebrations turned into tragedy after a 50-year-old man died by suicide on his daughter’s birthday over a domestic dispute in Senpashchim Para village on Sunday evening.Budhi Prakash, a supervisor at a leather factory in Jajmau, was found hanging when family members returned home. Police and a forensic team reached the spot, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem. His wife, Rekha, told police he was addicted to alcohol and often assaulted her.She said that three days ago, after a fight, he forced her out of the house. She had been staying at her maternal home in Yashoda Nagar.Prakash died on the same day as his 13-year-old daughter’s birthday, leaving the family in grief.
