Patna: A 74-year-old man, Mohammed Aftab, was allegedly beaten to death in Pokhriya village under Rauta police station area in Purnia late Saturday night. His son, Mohammed Jamshed, lodged an FIR against cousin Mohammed Azad and three others, accusing them of assaulting Aftab over a land dispute. Police sent the body to a govt hospital for the postmortem. The accused fled after the incident. Rauta SHO Kumar Kunal Saurav said CCTV footage is being examined.
