Mysuru: A relative of an advocate was arrested by T Narasipura police on charges of assault on Thursday. According to police, T Mahadevaswamy, president of the taluk advocates association, was allegedly attacked by one of his relatives, Santhosh, due to an old rivalry. They are cousins. The attack allegedly occurred near a shop on Nanjangud main road in front of the court premises, on Wednesday around noon.Santhosh was arrested by T Narasipura police after Mahadevaswamy filed a complaint, after he was admitted to a hospital.

The advocates’ association expressed outrage over the incident and demanded protection for advocates. Sources claimed that the attack was due to old enmity between the cousins. A case was registered at the T Narasipura police station.
