Chennai: A 29-year-old man was arrested by the Chitlapakkam All Women Police for repeatedly sexually abusing a Class 6 girl in Selaiyur.Police said the man lived with the girl’s mother, who had separated from her husband. The man repeatedly sexually abused the girl over a period of time.The girl informed her mother about the abuse, but no action was taken. The girl later disclosed the abuse to her teacher at school, who filed a complaint.Police registered a case and conducted an investigation confirming the man had sexually abused the girl. Police arrested him under the Pocso Act and remanded him in judicial custody.
