A hearing regarding a case concerning post-poll violence is scheduled to take place there. Mamata Banerjee has reportedly gone to the High Court specifically to make submissions in connection with this case.

A PIL was filed before the court after the election result came on May 4.
Senior advocate and Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee, before the court appearing on behalf of his party, said, “Hooliganism is going on and post-poll violence has occurred. Widespread ruckus in the name of post-poll violence has been going on in different places of the state”.
“No Trinamool Congress workers are staying at home for the time being. They all are being targeted”, Kalyan Banerjee claimed before the court.
Bikash Bhattacharya, one of the petitioner drawn attantion of the Chief Justice, that on the night of May 4th, at Kolkata’s iconic Hog Market area where some makeshift shops were demolished using a bulldozer. Bikash Bhattacharya, said, “muslim shopkeepers of Kolkata are targeted at.”
Kalyan Banerjee also put before the court, “the demolition using buldozer are illigal. A portion of 400 years old stucture of Hog market was demolished on the very same day when the result came”.
Mamata Banerjee told the court, “In front of the police, there was goes on the ruckus, they are burning houses, killing people. It is not a bulldozer state. Please give an interim order to the police that they should lodge FIR regarding all poll-related violence cases.”
