Mumbai: The state government on Thursday transferred 21 Indian Police Service (IPS) and State Police Service (SPS) officers following recommendations from the Police Establishment Board, said officials, describing the reshuffle as routine.Among the key changes, Balasaheb Patil, superintendent of police (Nashik Rural), has been posted as deputy commissioner of police in Mumbai. Somnath Gharge, superintendent of police, Ahilyanagar, has been transferred to the office of the director general of police.Sources in Mantralaya said the transfers were part of a regular administrative exercise.Meanwhile, officers Sandip Ghuge, Anurag Jain and Gajanan Rajmane have also been posted as deputy commissioners of police in Mumbai.
