Welcoming the decision of alliance partners to extend support to TVK, Stalin said the parties would continue in the DMK-led secular progressive alliance “on the basis of policy” even while backing the new government to resolve the current political crisis.
Stalin reiterated that the DMK would function as a “constructive opposition” and said the party would not obstruct the formation of a new government despite the alliance falling short of a majority.
