Ludhiana: Ludhiana police have released a traffic and security plan for the religious event “Ek Shaam Shiv Ke Naam,” scheduled to take place at Daresi Ground on Friday evening.The programme, beginning at 6.30 pm, will feature a performance by singer Kailash Kher and will be attended by chief minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal.To manage crowd movement and prevent congestion, ACP traffic Jatin Bansal stated that several roads surrounding the venue will function as no-vehicle zones. Dedicated parking lots have been designated for cars and buses, accompanied by a detailed route map to assist visiting devotees.Traffic management measures include rerouting heavy traffic away from high-density stretches via diversions at Jalandhar Bypass, Vishwakarma Chowk, and other strategic points. Traffic personnel deployed across these junctions will reroute vehicles dynamically based on traffic flow.Police authorities appealed to visitors to park strictly within designated facilities, warning that roadside parking near Daresi Ground will obstruct emergency vehicles and aggravate traffic jams. Residents and commuters passing through the city are advised to review the traffic plan and adhere to directions from on-duty personnel.
