Ludhiana: Police have registered a case against six persons for allegedly attacking a salon owner in broad daylight in the Rani Jhansi Road area of the city. The incident took place around 12.30pm. According to the complaint, Ajay Kumar, a resident of Haibowal Khurd, runs a hair salon on Rani Jhansi Road. He told the police that after parking his vehicle, as he was about to enter his salon, when the accused approached him from behind. He claimed they hit him on the head with a sharp-edged weapon.Ajay alleged that the accused abused him and issued death threats before fleeing the spot. Police said Amandeep Singh and Baljinder Kaur, both residents of Jalandhar, along with four unidentified youths, have been named in the case. Police sources said preliminary investigations indicate that the attack was linked to an old enmity arising from a financial dispute. Further investigation is underway.
