Ludhiana: Working expedite development works and ensure cleanliness, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga, senior deputy mayor Rakesh Prashar, and Municipal Corporation (MC) commissioner Neeru Katyal Gupta conducted a review meeting at the MC Zone D office on Thursday. During the meeting, strict directions were issued to the concerned officials that the ongoing works should be completed at the earliest. Additionally, senior officials were instructed to regularly monitor the situation at the ground level to ensure progress.Further, the officials working under the Canal-based Water Supply project were directed to work in close coordination with the civic body officials. This directive aims to ensure that the public does not face any kind of trouble at the ground level while water supply lines are being laid across the city. The emphasis was on seamless cooperation between departments to minimize resident inconvenience during the construction phase.A large delegation of councillors and leaders participated in the meeting, including Aman Bagga, Aradhna Surinder Atwal, Pushpinder Bhanot, Ashok Kumar, Manjit Dhillon, Tejinder Raja, Gurvir Golu Bajwa, Manisha Kapoor, Kamraj Sharma, and Dashmesh Singh. MC Joint Commissioner Vineet Kumar was also present, alongside officials from the B&R branch, O&M cell, health branch, and building branch, to address various departmental concerns and provide updates.MLA Bagga shared that concrete steps are being taken to ensure sustainable development across the constituency. He stated that the health branch officials have been specifically directed to ensure cleanliness and regular lifting of garbage from the static compactor sites. He further emphasized that no laxity would be tolerated in terms of development works or cleanliness, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to improving the urban environment and essential services for all Ludhiana residents.
