Ludhiana: After an 18-year-old newly married woman was found murdered in a locked rented accommodation in Guru Gobind Singh Nagar, Lohara Road, the Shimlapuri police have arrested her husband under murder charges.The accused has been identified as Aman. The police said Aman had not confessed his crime yet and was claiming to be innocent.Inspector Jatinder Kumar, SHO at Shimlapuri police station, said the accused was produced before a local court on Saturday that has sent the accused to two-day police custody. The deceased’s family had accused Aman of harassing her. After the woman, identified as Suman, was found murdered, Aman switched off his mobile and left Ludhiana. The police managed to track him and nabbed him from Bihar. The cop also said if Aman was innocent, he would have informed the police about his wife’s death and would not have escaped to Bihar after switching off his mobile.
