Akola: The ongoing geopolitical tensions have begun to impact global fuel supplies, with ripple effects now visible in Akola. A shortage of CNG forced thousands of autorickshaw drivers to wait in long queues at gas stations.Akola has only two CNG filling stations catering to a large number of vehicles. On Tuesday, one of the stations reportedly ran out of stock, pushing all vehicles toward the other pump. Long lines of autorickshaws and other vehicles were seen outside the station from early morning.Drivers said the situation has become increasingly difficult due to the sharp rise in gas prices and the limited availability of fuel. Before the escalation of the conflict, CNG was priced at around ₹58/kg. The price has now increased to nearly ₹80/kg.
