Mandya: In a heartwarming outcome at the National Lok Adalat held at the KR Pet court, a young couple who had sought divorce within a year of their marriage decided to withdraw their petition and reconcile, giving their relationship a fresh start.The couple, Ravi (name changed) from KR Pet taluk and Bhavana (name changed) from Mysuru, were married on Jan 2, 2025. However, minor misunderstandings led them to file a joint petition for mutual divorce on Jan 13, 2026, through their advocate, Kamanahalli Boregowda.During the Lok Adalat proceedings, senior civil judge Sudheer counselled the couple in the presence of their advocates and family members.The judge explained that just as sugar enhances the taste of milk, life’s joys and sorrows become meaningful when shared. He advised the couple not to allow trivial disagreements to overshadow their relationship and urged them to nurture their marriage with love, trust, and affection.Senior advocates Honnenahalli H Ravi, Kamanahalli Boregowda, VK Swaroop, and other members of the Bar were present to witness the emotional reunion and extended their best wishes to the couple for a happy and harmonious future.
