The upcoming episodes of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa are set to revisit one of television’s most talked-about rivalries. We have learnt that Vikas Gupta shot for a brief stint on the reality show, during which he came face-to-face with Shilpa Shinde, reigniting a feud that has played out both on and off screen for years. A source associated with the show says, “The makers wanted to bring in someone who would genuinely shake up the dynamics inside the house, and Vikas was the obvious choice. His equation with Shilpa is known to everyone, so viewers can expect some explosive moments. They don’t see eye to eye even today, and their interactions are expected to be among the biggest highlights of the upcoming episodes.” Shilpa and Vikas’s bitter rivalry first grabbed national attention during Bigg Boss 11, but their differences date back even further. After exiting Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, Shilpa accused Vikas of orchestrating her removal from the show, threatening her career and influencing casting decisions within the television industry. She even referred to him as the “mafia” of television. Vikas, however, denied the allegations and maintained that he had never sought to have her banned or prevented from getting work. Their feud continued well beyond Bigg Boss 11, spilling onto social media over the years. With both sharing screen space once again, viewers can expect the long-standing animosity to resurface on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. Shilpa was recently in the news after retracting the sexual harassment allegation she had levelled against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! producer Sanjay Kohli. Nearly a decade after her acrimonious exit from the sitcom, she returned to the show last December, surprising many. In 2016, she had accused Kohli of sexual harassment, non-payment of dues and creating a hostile work environment. She later admitted that her allegation of sexual harassment was false.
