Surat: A 38-year-old live-in partner of a woman was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping her two minor daughters from an earlier marriage and impregnating both of them in a village of Chikhli police station area of Navsari district in Surat.The accused was in a live-in relationship for the past six years with the mother of the victims, aged 13 and 14, said deputy superintendent of police B V Gohil.When the younger daughter developed abdominal pain, she was taken for medical examination which revealed that she was five months pregnant. Subsequent investigation revealed he had raped her multiple times.Following this, the medical examination of the second daughter was also taken up by the police, and it was revealed that she was also two months pregnant.A case was registered against the man under relevant sections of the Pocso Act and the BNS.The woman, divorced seven years ago, was living with the accused along with her four minor children – two sons and two daughters. The accused would take the girls to a forest area on some pretext and sexually assault them, mostly during the night. He had threatened them with serious consequences.
