Bengaluru: A live-in couple from Kerala was arrested from their residence with drugs worth Rs 11 crore — 8,000 strips of LSD, 5kg of hydro ganja, 534 grams of charas and other narcotics. Aswin Shiju, 25, and Mubina Niza, 27, had come to Bengaluru seven months ago, Central Crime Branch police said after raiding their flat in Bagaluru, east Bengaluru.
“They were unemployed and fully into drug peddling. They procured drugs from a Kerala man living in Thailand, who would pass on details and contact numbers of consumers in Bengaluru,” an investigating officer said.In other raids, 1.5kg of hydro ganja — concealed in chocolate and biscuit packs and imported from Thailand — was seized from the foreign post office in Chamarajpet; two overstaying Nigerian women were arrested from their Mico Layout residence and shifted to the foreigners’ detention centre in Nelamangala. Whitefield police arrested 28-year-old Lingaraj Das and seized 3.2kg of hashish oil and 27kg of ganja, worth around Rs 50 lakh.
