Rajkot: The Gujarat Police’s state monitoring cell (SMC) on Thursday raided a farm on the Bhachadar–Vad road in Bhachadar village of Rajula taluka in Amreli district and seized liquor worth Rs 47 lakh.The squad seized 15,178 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL). Police also seized two vehicles worth Rs 20 lakh, 237 bags valued at Rs 1.59 lakh, a mobile phone worth Rs 5,000 and Rs 12,060 in cash. The total value of the seized items is Rs 68.65 lakh.Vijay Vagora, a truck driver, was detained and handed over to Pipavav Coastal police. Eight others have been declared wanted. These include the farm owner, Dadu Dhakhda, and Ajay Khuman, the intended receiver of the consignment. Also wanted are the owners of the truck and Bolero, Tosif Jokhiya, whose driving licence was found in the vehicle and the supplier of the IMFL.
