Shillong: Two brothers were killed and at least eight others injured after lightning struck during a football match at Mawsnaphvir village in Meghalaya’s West Khasi Hills district on Tuesday.The incident occurred around 3pm, when heavy rain and lightning hit the area. The deceased have been identified as Mikson Khasiar, 18, and Cleverson Khasiar, 19, both residents of Lawrapha village. They were representing their village team in a match against Marskuin, when they were struck.lightning.The injured, including players and football officials, are undergoing treatment at Nongstoin Civil Hospital.
