New Delhi: After the city saw widespread rain towards the afternoon, with some areas recording light to moderate rainfall till late evening Wednesday, IMD expects Delhi to receive light to moderate rain Thursday as well, and has issued a yellow alert.Between 8.30am to 5.30pm, base station Safdarjung recorded 15.6mm rainfall, while Lodhi road had 38.7mm, Pusa 4mm and Palam 1.4mm respectively. Maximum temperature stood at 32.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal compared to 33.5 degrees a day earlier. Met expects the maximum temperature to hover around 31-33 degrees Thursday.“The cyclonic circulation over northwest Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level persists. The upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood between 4.5 & 7.6 km above mean sea level persists. No significant change in maximum temperatures during next seven days,” stated IMD.Meanwhile, the air quality remained ‘satisfactory’ as the AQI reading stood at 69 against 64 a day earlier.
