Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority will roll out its one-time settlement (OTS) scheme from April 18 and set up a dedicated help desk to facilitate applicants. The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar on Wednesday.A special OTS help desk will be established at the single-window counter on the ground floor of the LDA headquarters to provide detailed information, guide applicants about eligibility, and assist them in completing the online application process.Under the scheme, applications will be disposed of within three months of submission. Beneficiaries will get complete waiver of penal interest for the default period and will only be required to pay simple interest, which will be calculated through software.A rebate of 2% will be given if the full OTS amount is deposited within 30 days.In cases where dues exceed Rs 50 lakh, one-third of the amount should be deposited within 30 days, while the remaining amount can be paid in three bi-monthly instalments over six months.A one-month grace period will be allowed for delayed payments with applicable additional interest.Officials have been directed to prepare a comprehensive list of defaulters and ensure that information about the scheme reaches every eligible allottee. The authority will contact defaulters through phone calls, SMS, and emails via its call centre and IT cell.If any allottee is left out, the information will be sent through formal letters.“The scheme will cover residential and commercial properties, those allotted to govt institutions, plots meant for schools and charitable organisations, auctioned properties, and those allotted to cooperative housing societies,” the LDA VC said.He said allottees who failed to deposit instalments on time and were charged penal interest would be able to clear their dues and regularise their properties.
