Kolkata: A fresh FIR has been filed against former ward 35 councillor Asutosh Das and 16 associates for allegedly running an organised land-grab operation in Beleghata. Based on landowner Tarun Biswas’s complaint, Beleghata police booked the accused for trespass, intimidation and organised crime under BNS sections. Biswas alleged the group padlocked his plot on Raja Rajendralal Mitra Road in 2017, blocked access and turned it into a dumping ground.
