times News NetworkKanpur: A labourer died after a speeding SUV hit him in Kanpur’s Gujaini police station area when he was returning home from work late Thursday night. Police admitted him to Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital where he died during treatment.The incident occurred near the liquor shop close to Gujaini Chauraha, according to family members. The deceased was identified as Manoj (38), a resident of Kachchi Basti in Gujaini. He supported his family by working as a labourer. His wife died earlier, and his two children, Ajit and Muskan, are now the only family members left.Gujaini Station House Officer Rajan Sharma said that a report is being registered on the basis of the complaint by the family. He said efforts were being made to identify and arrest the driver by examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras.
