Chennai: Private sector Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) on Monday reported a 45% rise in net profit at Rs 756 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2026, against Rs 521 crore during the corresponding quarter last year. Its advances crossed Rs one trillion during the quarter and stood at Rs 1,04,680 crore, which is a 17% YoY. Deposits grew 15% at Rs 1,22,587 crore in Q1 FY27 over Rs 1,06,650 the same quarter a year ago.While net interest income increased by 31.8% to Rs 1,423 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 1,080 crore in the year-ago period, net interest margin was at 4.34% in the first quarter of FY27 as compared to 3.86% in Q1 FY26. Gross non-performing assets (GNPA) increased by 8 bps and stood at 0.74% of gross advances as of June 30, 2026 (Rs 772 crore) when compared with 0.66% during the year-ago quarter (Rs 593 crore). Net non-performing assets (NNPA) remained flat at 0.19% of net advances as of June 30, 2026 (Rs 196 crore). Also, CASA remained almost flat at 27.55% in the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The bank’s total business reached Rs 2,27,267 crore as of June 30, 2026.In a statement, KVB MD and CEO Ramesh Babu B said, “Our performance indicators align with our previously issued guidance. Sustained and inclusive results across all three key metrics — growth, profitability, and asset quality — demonstrate the ongoing strength of our performance since the beginning of the year.”
