BengaluruOn a day when the centre has rolled out the contentious Viksit Bharat- Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (VB-G-Ram-G), RDPR minister Eshwar Khandre has said that Karnataka will also roll it out but under protest.While citing this, he said the state government will discuss the rolling out at the cabinet scheduled today.“In the interest of the farmers, SC, ST and OBCs of rural Karnataka we will be rolling out the VB-G-Ram-G act under protest. We have demanded the changes to the act, including financial sharing to 90:10 between the centre and state. We will be discussing the same at the cabinet on Thursday,” said Khandre.The minister said Karnataka has already allocated Rs 2,200 crore under various provisions for rural employment schemes.“These will be made available for the VB-G-Ram-G,” he said.According to government sources, the government may even pursue legal recourse even as it is rolled out in the state.Ends
