Noida: A South Korean delegation visited Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Thursday to explore investment opportunities in the region. The delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.The additional CEO, YEIDA, Shailendra Bhatia, briefed the delegation on the investment potential of the YEIDA region. He highlighted the region’s strong connectivity, the operationalisation of the Noida International Airport, and the growing presence of leading investors such as Escorts Kubota, HCL-Foxconn and other prominent companies. “We informed the delegation that investments in the YEIDA region are coming in key sectors and products such as semiconductor chips, electronics manufacturing, medical devices, automobile components and other emerging industrial segments, which have strengthened the region’s industrial and logistics ecosystem,” he said.The officials also shared about the proposed ‘Korean City’ in Sector 4A of YEIDA, planned to attract and facilitate Korean investment in the region. The Korean City, spread over approximately 900 acres, will be a “Multiple Land Use Industry”, with provisions for industrial, residential, commercial and institutional facilities.The delegation also made a site visit to probable land parcels identified for potential investment by Korean companies. The visit is expected to further strengthen investment cooperation between Korean industries and YEIDA.
