Ghaziabad: Two sisters were killed and their cousin critically injured after the bike they were triple-riding collided with a container truck near the Dasna cut of Eastern Peripheral Expressway on Tuesday.The incident occurred around 7.30pm. The sisters were identified as Anshika (17) and Pari (14), residents of Muradpur village in Hapur district, and the injured man as Ajay, in his 30s, a resident of Narendra Pur in Najafgarh. The truck driver fled after the collision.The truck was attempting to turn towards Dasna when it struck the motorcycle, throwing all three, who were headed towards Nangloi, off the vehicle. Anshika came under the wheels of the container and suffered fatal head injuries on the spot. Pari and Ajay were dragged along the road — Pari’s head struck the road divider. Police said the sisters were not wearing helmets but Ajay was.A team from Wave City police station shifted the injured to Dasna Community Health Centre. Pari, given the severity of her injuries, was referred to Rama Hospital in Hapur, where she died during treatment. Ajay remains admitted there in critical condition. The bodies of both sisters were sent for postmortem.ACP (Wave City) Priyashree Pal said investigators have identified the truck through CCTV footage. “The vehicle is registered in Rajasthan. Police teams have been deployed to trace and arrest the absconding driver,” she said.
