Nagpur: Guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Tuesday said multiple projects are underway to develop Koradi as a major tourist destination. Speaking at a tree plantation event in Hingna, Bawankule said a butterfly garden, 7D theatre and a unique Hanuman statue are part of the tourism push for the area.“We are developing a butterfly garden in Koradi, where rare and endangered plant species (RET) will be planted, as these plants attract butterflies,” Bawankule said. He added that gardens filled with RET species would enhance Koradi’s natural beauty and draw more visitors.The minister also announced plans for a 7D theatre in Koradi, aimed at providing an immersive experience for tourists.Highlighting one of the major projects, he said, “The world’s biggest Hanumanji statue is being built in Koradi. It is being constructed in water, where you will see Hanumanji rising from the water.”Bawankule said these projects would help transform Koradi into a key religious and nature-based tourism hub in the Vidarbha region. He added that various departments were working in coordination to develop the necessary infrastructure.
